School holiday questions
Where can I find my school's term dates?
Term dates are set by your local council, or by the school itself for academies and independent schools. In England and Wales you can find your council's dates through GOV.UK using your postcode. Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own official pages, and your school's website or newsletter is the final word.
Why do school holiday dates differ between schools?
Local councils, academy trusts and individual schools can set their own term dates, so two schools in the same town can break up on different days. Staff training (INSET) days are also chosen by each school.
Can I track more than one child?
Yes. Add a child for each school, give each a name and colour, and enter their dates separately. Each child has their own countdown.
Is my information stored online?
No. Names and dates are saved only in your browser on this device, and nothing is uploaded. There is no account and no sign-up.
